Downtown Seattle - Day 1

Last Friday Harry and I decided to check out some of the downtown Seattle sights. We started our day with a trip to the Space Needle, headed to Fisherman's Terminal for a tour and lunch, and then went to Pike's Place Market.

The view of downtown Seattle from the Space Needle.

Puget Sound with the Olympic Mountains in the background.

Some of Seattle's many piers.

Us, enjoying the view. Can you tell Harry is terrified, because he was. He had to take his hand off the rail to take the picture.

The world famous Space Needle.

I will be posting pictures from Fisherman's Terminal tomorrow. It deserves it's own post since we took a tour of the Seastar... a crab boat featured on Deadliest Catch.

We were very impressed with Pike's Place Market. There were some of the most beautiful flowers I had ever seen for sale, tons of local artist's goods, as well as fresh fish galore!

The Dungess Crab was selling for about $7.95 a pound. Harry and I really wanted to bring some home with us (they will pack it for air travel) but we didn't want to pay for an extra checked bag.

Yummy, look at all of that fresh fish!
