The Finished Play-Set

We finished the play set last week and I'm just now getting the pictures posted (school just started back this week so we've been a little busy/tired around here).

Also, Alaina is really enjoying her time at school. Her teacher sent me the photo collage below.

Two of the pictures show Alaina at "Gym Sport" which is a gymnastics/pre-sports class that meets once a week. The other picture is Alaina at circle time.  Tomorrow is show and tell and Alaina's cousin, Madison, would love to know that her baby, Frankie, is all set to go to school tomorrow!

Pictures from the Weekend

This past weekend we had a lot of excitement. It is our last weekend of summer vacation and we got a lot accomplished.

Alaina reached a huge milestone this weekend. If you think about the candles you may get it. We made "celebration cake" to celebrate. 

We also started building a play-set for Alaina this past weekend. Harry started cutting lumber on Friday, we cut and stained yesterday, and we started setting it up today.

We got the fort and the slide attached today. We will have to build the ladder and attach the swing arm another day. 

Five Days Of Summer

I have only 5 more days of summer vacation. Alaina and I are going to try to do something fun together each of the 5 remaining days. Today we went to Concord Mills and rode the carousel. Alaina loved it and I'm so glad that it was the highlight of her day. 

Flowers and Painting

Alaina enjoyed her girly side today by picking flowers and painting. She is truly a lover of the arts. 

She's working hard on spelling her name. She's got the As down! 

Concert on the Green

Yesterday we headed to Davidson for Concert on the Green. We packed a picnic and enjoyed some great music and beautiful weather.
