Deadliest Visit

On Friday Harry and went to Fisherman's Terminal to tour the famous Seastar (featured on Discovery's "Deadliest Catch") and to eat lunch.

There she blows! The Seastar, ready for our visit.

The main deck of the Seastar... pots ready to be launched.

The crew's quarters, for the few hours they get to sleep on a trip.

The captain's quarters... much nicer but still not 4 star.

Harry as a crab boat captain.

Harry in a survival suit. He looks way too happy.

Me in a survival suit. I think, no, I KNOW I need a small.

Harry throwing the hook... very dainty!

Arrrggghhh! Harry, the hook throwing pirate.

Me, throwing the hook like a woman! Mom, aren't you proud?

Me, baiting a pot just like a true greenhorn.

We also got to see another crab boat currently featured on Deadliest Catch, the North American. You could not take a tour since it is an actively working fishing vessel. It isn't one of our favorite boats... but it was cool none the less.

At the very end of our trip (Monday to be exact) Harry and I also ate linner (a meal between lunch and dinner) at the world's Deadliest Bar... the Lockspot. The Discovery show "After the Catch" is filmed at the Lockspot. It is a sit-down discussion with the captains and crews from "Deadliest Catch". They had really fresh, delicious fish and chips, and of course, terrific beer. It was so great that Harry and I could incorporate our obsession with TV, specifically one of our favorite shows, into our vacation.
