Harry, Alaina, and I just got home from our long weekend in Wilmington with my family and, of course, I have more pictures to post.

All of my siblings and their families are visiting my parents in Wilmington this weekend so we were able to have Christmas together yesterday. There was a lot of activity, present opening, and playing... everyone had a great time.

Caswell Beach in December

Yesterday Harry, Alaina, and I drove over to my parents house for our family Christmas. My brother, Clay, and his family, Karen and Weston, also arrived yesterday. My sister and her family arrive today and so while we were waiting for them, we went to the beach. It was chilly but everyone had a great time. 

Weston started making snow angels when we got there.

A horseshoe crab had washed up on the shore and the kids (and adults) were very interested.

Christmas 2012!

Our family had a wonderful Christmas this year. We began the day at our home opening presents from each other and our presents from Santa.

Harry and Alaina opening one of her presents... a book from daddy. Each Christmas Harry and I both pick out a book to give to Alaina. This year Harry gave her Little Blue Truck Leads the Way and I got her Wherever You Are: my love will find you.

After opening presents at our house, Alaina, Harry, and I headed down to Harry's parents in south Charlotte for dinner and more presents.

Live Nativity

On Sunday Harry, Alaina, and I went to a local church to see a Live Nativity. Alaina had a wonderful time and loved seeing the animals. She was very upset that there was no cow at the nativity but we did see plenty on Christmas Eve on the way to church.

 Alaina wanted to pet the camel so badly. We told her that she probably already had petted this camel since it most likely came from the Lazy 5 Ranch (we visited there earlier this fall).

Finally, this picture is not from the Nativity but from our visit to Birkdale to see Santa. This picture is hilarious! We think Alaina looks like a character from Lord of the Rings.
