Today Martha and the kids stopped by for a quick visit on the way to Tennessee. We had a great time together and managed to get some good pictures.

Final Day at Hilton Head
We woke up this morning in Hilton Head to rain.. lots of rain. It reminded us of Charlotte, because it has been raining here for at least 40 days, I think (time for an ark?) so it was kind of perfect for our last day of vacation.
We had planned on visiting Sea Pines on Hilton Head, where the lighthouse is, today and the rain didn't stop us.
This is the picture from our camera with the timer. We think it looks like our family arose from the grass.
Thankfully a real person took our picture in front of the lighthouse and it looks much better.

More Hilton Head Pictures
Today we spent the afternoon at the beach and had a fun, and interesting, time. The waves were much larger today and they brought some jellyfish friends. Harry met one of these little jellyfish friends while out in the waves.
Out in the inner-tube!
Harry, googling "jellyfish stings." The lifeguard did give Harry some vinegar to spray on the sting to relieve some of the pain.
Alaina, doing one of her favorite things on the beach, eating chips and drinking juice.
Going to the beach makes you pretty tired.

Hilton Head, Continued
Today we had another beautiful beach day.
Harry and Alaina heading out into the water. Alaina used her inner-tube to float and was able to go farther out in the ocean. She wasn't scared at all and kept wanting to float independently.
Out in the deep water.
Harry built a large hole and buried Alaina.
She liked it.
Alaina and I also built another sandcastle. It was a great day.

Hilton Head
We are on a little vacation at Hilton Head Island and here are a few pictures of our trip so far.
Last night we ate at Hudson's on the Docks. We had some great seafood and some beautiful views!
Alaina, at the beach entrance, ready to pounce on the water fountain.
When we first arrived at the beach there were a TON of people standing at the waters edge looking at something. Harry went to investigate first, then I went to take pictures. We were expecting a small shark, maybe a small dolphin or whale washed up on the beach... maybe even a sea turtle. Nope, it was a little alligator! The alligator wrangler had already taped his mouth and was letting tourists take pictures with the little guy.
Alaina in her water bucket. She loves to soak in the bucket.
The three of us made a sand castle... it is small but Alaina still enjoyed making it and stomping on it.

The Big Wheel
Alaina got a big wheel for her second birthday and has always enjoyed sitting on it and playing with the buttons (it has music and car noises) but has struggled learning how to peddle it until recently (yay for summer vacation). Check out her progress.
Alaina getting started and showing off her stuff.
She still struggles with steering, but she will get it with a little practice.
