We started the day out traveling to Snoqualmie Falls in Snoqualmie, Washington. We got to cross a lot of these quaint little bridges all throughout the state.
Then we reached our destination... Snoqualmie Falls.
After seeing the falls from the top, we decided to hike down to the bottom of the falls.
The forests in Washington are beautiful. We enjoyed all of the moss and ferns.
Pausing for a picture, it was SO green!
The river, after falling over Snoqualmie Falls.
Snoqualmie Falls from the bottom. It was huge!
Enjoying the view and the wonderful Washington weather.
After hiking back to the car Harry and I went to the world famous Lockspot Cafe for lunch. In a previous entry I mentioned that this is where Discover Channel films "After the Catch", an sit-down interview with the captains and crews of "Deadliest Catch".
The Lockspot Cafe was so named because it is located on the Locks that boats traveling from the Pacific Ocean toward Seattle travel through to rise to the correct elevation. Here you see the water level of the Pacific on the right and the water level that they are rising to on the left.
The locks looking toward the Pacific.
The Salmon Ladder (a way for salmon to swim upstream through the locks).
Us, at Mike and Suzanne's wedding. The whole reason we went to Seattle.
Finally... the last of our Washington trip. Does anybody want to pay for us to go back?
